Not Bad for Her First Show!

This summer we had the pleasure of watching Kitri Falxa, who trains at Some Day Farm in Bend, OR, compete her beautiful 2004 hunter mare by Gatsby, named Ginelle, in the Baby Green Hunter division at Hunter Creek in Wilsonville, Oregon. It was so much fun for us to watch one of Gatsby's offspring in the competition ring while her owner was smiling from ear to ear! Kitri reported to us that Ginelle had a very successful competition season in 2009 that included a Reserve Championship at her very first A rated show! Kitri couldn't say enough wonderful things about her new mount (she has only owned her less than a year), and said that she and her trainer decided to purchase Ginelle from Rebecca Swan of Swan Training in Wilsonville, OR after trying no less than 30 different horses before they found her. As is often the case with many of Gatsby's progeny, it was the sweet, quiet, and steady disposition displayed by Ginelle that really sold her and her trainer on the idea of purchasing the mare to be Kitri's next long-term equine partner and friend. Congratulations Kitri and much luck to you and Ginelle in future competitions!
